You cannot get a tattoo or a brand before you reach the age of 16.
At the age of 16 you can get a tattoo but only with your parent’s written consent.
This means that a tattoo artist or brand artist cannot tattoo or brand any person under the age of 18 unless he/she has written consent from a parent. This would also apply to anyone who is not a tattoo artist who gives you a home-made tattoo or brand.
If there is no written consent from the parent, the tattoo artist commits an offence.
